What this shows you
- Net sales by product ranks your products by what they brought in.
- Top products shows your best sellers for the period.
- The table lists each product with its takings and its profit.
What each column means
- Product is the item sold.
- Total gross sales is everything that product took before refunds, discounts and fees.
- Refunds is money given back on that product.
- Discounts is the price taken off, including promotions and loyalty rewards.
- Net sales is what is left after refunds and discounts.
- Cost of inventory is what the stock cost you, based on its supply price at the time of sale.
- Gross profit is net sales less the cost of inventory.
- Total collected is the money that reached you for that product.
Tip: Watch gross profit, not just sales. A product can sell well and still earn little once its cost is counted.
